He was inspired by his painting of the sensual lips and nose belonging to the goddess of love, Aphrodite. The sketch from 1981 became the shape for Salvador Dalí's first perfume bottle, which was launched in a limited edition in 1983. This perfume was the first of its kind, as an artist had never before created a fragrance and an artwork in the form of a sculpted perfume bottle.
