Acqua Di Parma started in a small factory in Pama, Italy in 1916. Colonia was the first fragrance created by the brand and was used to perfume gentlemens' handkerchiefs. Colonia became a symbol for Italian chic among American and European celebreties of the 1930ies and remained so until the 1950ies. Stars like Cary Grant, David Niven, Ava Gardner, Eva Turner and Audrey Hepburn were all lovers of the Colonia fragrance.]This fragrance is citrus fresh with floral heart notes and oriential wood notes as a base.
